Tu Youyou, 2015 Alpert prize recipient, accepts the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

On December 10, 2015 Warren Alpert Foundation Prize recipient, Tu Youyou, accepted the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Professor Tu received the Alpert Prize for work that led to the development of the malaria drug Artemisinin. Artemisinin Combination Therarapies(ACT) are today the primary method physicians use to treat people infected by the malaria parasite. View the Nobel Pize ceremonies.
